Nirmal Kumar Palanisamy · Appointed under section 88, Courts of Justice Act 1924
Peace Commissioner for County Dublin
If a form has told you it must be signed in the presence of a Peace Commissioner, you are in the right place. I take statutory declarations, witness signatures and certify true copies of documents. The office is honorary, so none of it costs anything.

A Peace Commissioner is an impartial witness appointed by the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration. The role is deliberately narrow: I confirm your identity, watch you sign, and attest that signatures and copies are genuine. I cannot advise you on what your form says or whether your application will succeed — but I can make sure the witnessing step does not hold you up.

Ring the organisation that will receive your document and ask whether they accept a Peace Commissioner. Some require a solicitor or a Commissioner for Oaths instead, and documents intended for use outside Ireland need a Notary Public. One phone call saves a wasted journey.
Arrange an appointment
Message me with the documents you need signed and the body they are going to. I will confirm whether a Peace Commissioner is the right person and arrange a time.
There is no charge for any of this. Peace Commissioners receive no fee and no expenses, and anyone asking you to pay for these services is in breach of the terms of the appointment.
